A practical description of what Riftfarer stores and the controls available to you.
Beta status & V1 launch
All viewer and streamer data may be reset when Riftfarer reaches V1 and launches fully. This includes accounts, characters, progression, collections, community activity, saved realms and stream settings. Do not rely on beta data carrying over to V1.
Saving still keeps your changes between sessions during normal use. A possible V1 reset is separate from those everyday saves; a saved character or realm is not a promise of permanent storage.
There is no announced V1 launch date. Follow the Community Roadmap for release plans and updates, and use Support for account or data questions.

We will never sell or rent your personal data or share it for targeted advertising. Necessary providers process information to run the service; content you broadcast or choose to share can be seen by others. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
What is saved
Riftfarer stores Twitch identity, global Character and earned progression, community Reputation and interactions, creator settings, World state, supported events, collectibles and Showcase preferences. Twitch authorization and configured Discord webhook credentials are encrypted on the server.
Observed activity can establish presence. Riftfarer does not identify silent viewers or measure their watch time. Chat, support and event retention depend on record type and service configuration.
You choose what to share
Your Character and supported activity may appear on a creator’s stream. A Traveler Showcase starts private. Public-by-link sharing, full collection, Journey and collectible provenance have separate controls. Personal profiles stay out of the search sitemap and default to noindex even when shared.
Private account, support, billing, team and operator records are not public Showcase content. Communication preferences remain separate from profile sharing.
Save Showcase to apply privacy changes. A public link can be copied, and noindex is a request to search engines, not access protection.
Account controls
Your authenticated Account page provides data export, Twitch disconnection and account deletion. Export includes collection and Showcase records. Deletion removes your Character, owned collectibles and Showcase; it cannot remove copies already broadcast or recorded. Disconnecting Twitch preserves saved World data.
Self-service deletion requires resolving pending billing and paid access. If billing or Twitch access prevents deletion, submit a public support or privacy request at /contact without signing in. Disconnecting Twitch does not cancel billing.
Adventures stay with your account
Your chosen role, crafted equipment, materials, expeditions, and encounter progress are saved privately. Account export includes adventure records. Deleting your account removes them; changing your appearance does not change your progress.
Community discussions
Community posts and replies are public under your Twitch name and searchable within Community. They normally remain until you remove them or the team moderates them, but all beta data is subject to reset at V1. Private support conversations are not included in Community search.
Reports are private to the Riftfarer team. Resolved reports become eligible for cleanup after 180 days. Account export includes your posts and replies. Account deletion redacts your authored text and hides those posts and replies while preserving other members’ contributions. Copies already made by others cannot be removed. Use Support for account and billing details.
Support, diagnostics and moderation
Riftfarer records authenticated API actions, failures and selected feature reads to support accounts, protect access and understand usage. These diagnostic records exclude request bodies, private messages, IP addresses, credentials and private OBS URLs, and expire after 90 days. Operator correction receipts and audits expire after 365 days. Active restrictions retain a hashed Twitch identity across account deletion to prevent evasion; the account link and free-text reason are removed. Ended restrictions become eligible for cleanup after 365 days. No activity signal automatically bans an account.
